Club Rules

To be a part of this amazing new club, you MUST abide by the following rules. Failure to do so could lead to you being removed from the club and any of its organised events.

1. Membership Eligibility: Membership is open to individuals who share an interest in American Cars, Trucks, Custom and Hot Rod vehicles. Prospective members must adhere to the rules and regulations laid out in the club's constitution. All members must own or have a genuine interest in American, Custom and Hot Rod vehicles.

 

2. Conduct: Members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner at all club events/meetings and gatherings. Any behaviour deemed inappropriate that could impact/reflect negatively on the club, delegated officers or any members will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action or expulsion from the club.

 

3. No Illegal Activities: Engaging in illegal activities such as street racing, reckless driving, or driving under the influence is strictly prohibited.

 

4. Vehicle Requirements: Vehicles must be American, Custom or Hot Rod vehicles to be eligible for club participation. Members are encouraged to maintain their vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition. Modifications to vehicles must be safe and street legal.

 

5. Safety: Safety is paramount. Members are expected to abide to all road/traffic laws and regulations while participating in club events/activities and even those not organised by the club. Reckless driving or behaviour that endangers the safety of others will not be tolerated including upon leaving events.

 

6. Respect for Property: Members must respect the property of others, including club facilities, venues, and private property where club events are held. Any damage to property caused by a member's actions must be rectified by the responsible member.

 

7. Attendance and Participation: Members are encouraged to actively participate in club events, meetings, and activities. Regular attendance at club meetings and events is appreciated but not mandatory.

 

8. Financial Responsibilities: Members are responsible for paying any required membership, subscription or fees promptly. Funds collected by the club shall be used for club activities, events, and expenses as determined by club officers and approved by the membership.

9. Environmental Responsibility: Members should be mindful of their environmental impact. Any event/meeting attended must be left in a clean and safe state and any/all rubbish removed from the venue.

 

10. Discrimination: Discrimination of any form, including but not limited to race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation, will not be tolerated.

 

11. Social Media: Members are encouraged to share positive and respectful content related to the car club on social media platforms. Members are to avoid posting any offensive, discriminatory, or controversial material that may reflect poorly on the club or its members. Members should uphold the values of the club and be mindful of how your online presence represents the club. Any grievances should be addressed internally to any delegated officer of the club not aired publicly on social media platforms.

 

12. Club Representation: No individual, other than the delegated officers of the club, shall have the authority to act on behalf of the club or represent it in any official capacity without express permission from the club's officers. Any representation or action on behalf of the club without proper authorisation may result in disciplinary action or consequences as determined by the club's officers. Authorisation for representation may be granted by the club's officers, taking into consideration the best interests of the club and its members.

 

13. Dispute Resolution: In the event of disputes between members, efforts should be made to resolve conflicts amicably and in accordance with the club's constitution and rules. Any dispute should be addressed directly to a delegated officer of the club only. Delegated Club officers may mediate disputes and take appropriate action to maintain harmony within the club.

 

14. Amendments: These rules may be amended by the clubs delegated officers or a majority vote of the club's membership.

 

15. Enforcement: Club officers are responsible for enforcing these rules, any member breaking the rules may face the following actions depending on the severity of the rule breach.

 

Verbal Warning: For minor breaches or first-time offenses, members may receive a verbal warning from club officers. This serves as an opportunity for the member to correct their behaviour and understand the seriousness of the breach.

 

Written Warning: For repeated or more serious breaches, members may receive a written warning outlining the specific rule(s) broken and the consequences of further breaches. Written warnings may also include a probationary period during which the member's behaviour will be closely monitored.

 

Suspension: In cases where the breach is severe or repeated despite previous warnings, the member may be suspended from club activities for a specified period of time. During the suspension, the member will be prohibited from participating in club events or holding any club related positions.

 

Expulsion: For breaches of club rules or behaviour that is deemed incompatible with the values of the club, the member may be expelled from the club. Expulsion is a serious consequence and may result in the permanent removal of their club membership.

 

Damages: Depending on the nature of the breach, the member may be required to provide compensation for any damages caused or expenses incurred as a result of their actions. This could include reimbursing the club for any financial losses or repairing damage to property.

 

Appeals Process: Members have the opportunity to appeal any disciplinary action taken against them. The appeals process allows members to present their case to a neutral party or committee for review and reconsideration any sanctions imposed. At the core of our club's values is the importance of mutual respect and cooperation among all members. By treating each other with respect and understanding, we can grow a friendly club environment where everyone feels not only welcomed but a valued member.

 

It is the responsibility of all members to abide by the rules laid out by the club to maintain a friendly and respectful group. By upholding these standards, we can ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all members of the car club. By agreeing to become a member of Route 62 American and Custom Car Club, individuals agree to abide by these rules and uphold the values and principles of the club.
